Wherever my eyes wandered in the Black Hills of South Dakota looked like a big, glossy photo in a picture book. Rugged limestone cliffs of Siena-pine forests, the panoramic views are the norm. ATV was anything but. Our group wanted an ATV adventure in South Dakota, so we booked tickets and flew to Rapid City airport, a warm autumn afternoon. Before guiding our ATVs, though, we contacted a local riding club of the South Dakota ATVThe Off-Road Riders, lead us through the area. The ATV trail system in this area is vast and unmapped. So, with the promise of lunch were good people of Off-Road Riders Association us for a ride.

After landing at the airport, we realized we had left far behind urban sprawl. The airport was only in the midst of a hazy sky and background of the Black Hills. We have collected our gear from the conveyor belt and a 15-seater minibuses. We drove to the airportthrough Rapid City, is the most urbanized of the places we visited in South Dakota. It looks like a city from somewhere across the country, with shopping malls and fast food restaurants. We then drove through Deadwood, a town with a lot of character. He has a limousine with floors covered with sawdust, casinos and an "Old West" feel to the pavement. Here we felt like we jumped as gunslingers, saloon and restaurant with Kevin Costner (yes, KevinCostner).

After a brief bout of interest we have received Lead, South Dakota. Lead is a short walk from the buzz of Deadwood, and is a picturesque village, situated on the steep slopes of the Black Hills. The next morning we arrived in the Black Hills, we were waiting for a fleet of ATVs on us. But because the quad and the arena expected, we had about 30 minutes into the city Nemo. The beauty of this section of South Dakota is the town are usually closetogether, it was a short, half-hour drive takes us in a language other than receiving.

The base camp for our ATV racing was the Nemo Guest Ranch, cabins, snack and Adventure Ranch now also offers stables for nature lovers who prefer four-legged races on four wheels to offer. Of course, we have for the second. Our first ATV adventures of the day took us on the road from the ranch and up, so it seemed. We maneuvered through narrow doors 4WD quad, aForest trees of the eternal and the Black Hills. The landscape here is best enjoyed if you are not sitting on a quad running - looks around while driving an ATV rider in a heap of trouble quickly.

After fighting our way up the hill for about an hour, we pulled out of the ATV trail for a break and some water. As we parked our quad, we noticed a cave under the well-beaten paths integrated. We carefully entered the cave, which was not easy, in boots. The heat of the day evaporatesWith each step down and the shade and humidity in the cave gave us a chance to cool off. We rested briefly in the cave, because of our enthusiasm to see what awaits us on the ATV trail has spurred into action again. We climbed out of the cave, jumped back on our quads, re-helmet, and rode up.

We drove the track ATV deaths fall meeting massive trunks and rocks along the path. Every foot of this road was a challenge, to focus without interruption. There was nomany opportunities to take the environment, we recommend frequent stops to enjoy the scenery. As we crawled up to the top of the mountain, at an altitude of 4,000 meters, we moved back to the trail ATV. The view was breathtaking and beautiful. The lush pine forests stretched always with us, and the hills fell gracefully from the valley, where the Nemo Guest Ranch. With the blue sky as a backdrop, the view was amazing. Looking down, but it was aAdrenaline - the thought of falling off this cliff I still twitching from the sleep from time to time.

It took an hour and a half to reach the highest level, and the descent took almost twice as long. That may be mistaken, but trust us down is not always as simple as up. This is not a journey for the first time ATV riders. During the descent we were gripping the bars narrower than normal. And our eyes bulged in a few paragraphs. And I mumbled a few things in myFurry helmet during certain times, I'm glad to know that no one else. As we descended, we drove through mountains of fallen logs and slipped and slid our way down the track. Just when we thought we could get his breath after log-slip-and-slide stop, take a step down the rock. The rock walls of the hill were tight. There was not enough space to meet up with a quad bike through about two inches of space on each side. Each step down, a total of six, was about a foot and a half steep, caused the ATV to the front wheels, with every drop swing.
We do not allow us to intimidate the hills, though. We focused on defeat, without even conquered.

In fact we were so focused and so deep in the heart of wooded trails that we have not noticed storm clouds above us. After the stone steps, opened another protocol if the road ahead of us, the sky and unleashed a storm of rain. The records moistened rolled and slid under the wheels of our SUV.The way was difficult, when it was dry, and a constant rain made it even more difficult. Fortunately the rain cleared just as we survived the last crash log and found a fire road to ride. Register after the battle was over smooth rocks and slippery muddy trails, the soft, semi-wet sand of the road fire is a welcome change. We drove this part of the path exponentially faster than the technical parts. And again the sun to dry our gear before the race was over.
